Genesis 2:17

Genesis 2:17

There was one exception to Adam being able to eat from all of the trees of the garden. He and Eve were specifically forbiden to eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. There was probably nothing special about the fruit of this tree that would bring death other than that eating from it would be disobeying God. God was not being cruel but rather was giving man a test, and he was even making it as simple as possible. It was one tree among many and the command was extremely simple. The reason for the test was God did not create robots but wanted man to obey Him of his own free will.

Genesis 2:15-16

Genesis 2:15-16

Man was place in the garden of Eden to tend it thus work was instuted befor man's fall. This work would not have been the drudgery that is often seen in work today that is shown to have cone into play after the fall as part of the curse. Adam is also told the he may freely eat of threes of the garden as payment thus further supporting earlier indications of man originally vegetarian.

Genesis 2:8-9

Genesis 2:8-9
8 And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed.
9 And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

This verse mentions two specific trees. They are the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil both of which are involved in later events.

Genesis 2:7

The creation of man is described in Genesis 2:7 which putts an end to any idea of reconciling the Bible with
Evolution. This is not a surprise since the entire evolutionary theoretical system assumes as a starting assumption the Bible is wrong. It is also interesting how in such attempts always require the Bible to bow the knee to evolution rather than the other way around.
